Purpose & Goals
The Town of Middletown and AMEC Environment & Infrastructure, Inc. are conducting a stormwater funding study, with financial and technical support from the RI Bays, Rivers, and Watersheds Coordination Team and Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (RIDEM). The study will identify and evaluate the Town’s current and future stormwater management issues and appropriate funding alternatives to address those needs.
The goal of this project is to develop local consensus on the Town’s future stormwater management program and to fully evaluate implementation of a stormwater enterprise fund to help manage the Town’s program going forward. The 2011 Middletown Stormwater Utility District Feasibility Study provides a great deal of background information and technical analysis of Middletown’s stormwater program.
