Decision Request
Rhode Island General law 45-24-61 states, all decisions shall be recorded and filed in the office of the city or town clerk within thirty (30) days from the date when the decision is rendered and is a public record.
If you went before our Middletown Zoning Board of Review (and did not have an attorney and furthermore were granted a positive vote for your requested relief) and have not received your written and recorded decision, you need to contact the Town of Middletown Solicitor Mr. Peter Regan, Esq. All other decision would be supplied by the petitioners attorney that represented them.
If you plan to start the work after your granting from the Zoning Board of Review, prior to receiving a written decision, you will need to fill out the Waiver of Zoning Appeal Period Form. You will need to attach the waiver form to the permit pulled for the work. Waivers can be found on the Middletownri.com website under the Building/Zoning Department application and forms section .
