As part of a student-led fundraiser, $8,106.42 was collected at Middletown High and Gaudet Middle schools to assist those in Ukraine. The students and school community express thanks to all those who supported those in the war-torn nation.
Students and staff at Middletown High and Gaudet Middle schools raised money to go directly to help those in Ukraine as part of a recently friendly competition. Together, the two schools raised $8,106.42 in about a week, with Gaudet collecting the more than half. Over the weekend, a check was mailed to UNICEF USA to help. "In the end, this has shown that the students at both schools, and the Middletown community, once again came together for a great cause," Gaudet Principal William Niemeyer said. "Students and staff alike, were eager to support affected people in Ukraine. We are grateful to all that donated."
